Position Summary:

Evaluates and treats patient populations for swallowing, speech-language, cognition and therapy needs. The Speech Language Pathologist administers, organizes and plans the activities of the department to ensure effective speech pathology evaluation and treatment for inpatients, outpatients and rehab patients of all age groups and cultural backgrounds; exhibiting a speech, language, hearing or swallowing disorder; and provides diagnostic and therapeutic services.

Reports to: Therapies Supervisor/Director

FLSA: Exempt

Minimum Education

Completed Masters accredited Program

Work experience in acute care setting during externship

Required Skills

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire

Licenses: Licensed by the state of Arizona required on hire

Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card must be under way on 1st day of hire
