Medical Lab Tech Position Summary. Performs routine laboratory tests in various sections of the laboratory. Reports to the Director of Laboratory Services. Essential Functions Additional Information. Patient Populations Served: Does not directly treat or care for patients. Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record. Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees. Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting, computer/data entry, and instrument handling; occasional standing, walking, and light lifting.
