Base pay range

$160,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr

Very reputable and growing, $1.5B Global Home Improvements Technology company located in Cleveland, OH. is looking for a Indirect Tax Manager for an immediate need. This is a wonderful opportunity to join amazing company with room for growth and stability along with great work life balance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance, research, and planning for domestic indirect taxes.
• Manage domestic tax operations, including maintenance of federal and state tax accounts, annual filings, and payments, in collaboration with external tax advisors.
• Manage international tax operations (Canada), including corporate income tax, GST/HST, and transfer pricing matters, in collaboration with external tax advisors.
• Manage tax aspects of month-end closes, including tax accruals, reconciliations, and analysis.
• Oversee indirect tax compliance, including sales and use tax, property tax, and addressing external and internal inquiries.
• Assist and coordinate with other tax and corporate finance functions as needed.
• Coordinate with legal and payroll for state tax matters and registrations.
• Issue exemption certificates to vendors and review legal contract sales tax provisions.
• Monitor and update taxability manager and taxability matrixes.
• Coordinate documentation collection and prepare responses for tax audits.
• Stay updated on changes in state and local tax laws and manage tax minimization projects.
• Use sound judgment and interpersonal skills to analyze tax data.
• Maintain good relationships with team members to gather relevant tax information.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 5-8+ years' in public accounting / industry
• CPA strongly preferred
• Experience using JDE ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with tax research software.
