ALLO is looking for a Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) Structured Cabling Technicians to join our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Here's a typical day:

• Start your day knowing it probably won't be typical and brand new tasks not listed below are bound to come up.
• Build out data closets and equipment rooms.
• Install, test, troubleshoot, and document test results for Cat5E cable cabling and fiber optic lines utilizing industry-standardized testers.
• Install cable pathway systems (cable trays, data racks, patch panels, etc.).
• Install, terminate, test, label, and document low voltage cabling infrastructure.
• Dress and route fiber and Cat5E into data closets and work areas.
• More than a team, we consider our fellow techs family and our side-by-side efforts strengthen our internal connections as well as our customer impact.
• Install, terminate and test low voltage cables & fiber optic cables.
• Install a structured cabling system including pathways, spaces, horizontal cabling, backbone copper, backbone fiber optic, cross and inter-connections, and testing. This includes understanding applicable codes, standards, and industry-best practices.
• Obtaining and maintaining ALLO Communications issued tool supply.
• Fiber optic installations for apartment complexes.
• Ability to accept periodic assignments that involve travel away from immediate home office area based on client needs, business needs and project scope.
• A gym membership isn't required but you will be expected to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Other duties as assigned.

Here's what you'll prove at the interview:

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree or 2-4 years' equivalent work experience.

EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to learn and grasp new concepts on the job
• Clean MVR to drive ALLO Communications vehicles
• Ability to work evenings and weekends
